Nestled among undulating valleys and some of the highest elevations in Medina County, Blue Heron offers a unique golfing experience and a standard for public golf in Ohio. Many players who have enjoyed the course in the past have expressed excitement about the new layout. The course starts near the beautiful clubhouse with three holes from the former River nine (previously holes one, eight and nine) and incorporates six playable holes from the former Highlands nine. The beautiful Lakes nine remains intact. Other improvements are planned for the future. The new layout will offer convenience to the clubhouse but, more importantly, will continue to provide a challenging golf experience for the very low handicappers while offering a more playable course and thus encouraging well-paced play. Distinctive amenities remain with the unrivaled 29,000 square foot facility showcasing the River Styx Grille, a full service restaurant, an outdoor patio overlooking the beautiful terrain of the first hole, and beautiful bar area with flat screen television.
